Pendant Trail Workshop!

This new and exciting workshop is a great way to have a go at silversmithing! You'll learn some exciting techniques, test out your design skills and create something beautiful that you can take home at the end!

During this workshop you are presented with two silver discs of different sizes, one piece of square silver wire and one silver chain. I'll then show you a variety of techniques you can then use to shape, cut, stretch, bend, and polish your metal. I have stamps you can use to apply lettering, or small designs, hammers for different textures which if you have attended my stacking rings class you may already be familiar with! But also at this workshop you can use the rolling mill, and doming blocks for some new ideas!

The discs, wire and single chain are included in the ticket price if you wish to use extra silver or would like to use a second chain to create a more layered look this can be purchased on the day via card payment. Chains start at £10 for a standard 16 or 18” if you would like a longer 30” chain please let me know in advance.

After seeing how all these tools work, you have a few minutes to design your pendant, then crack on with making!

This is a much more free flow workshop where you will have full access to all the tools whenever you want rather than a structured step by step workshop! I will be constantly on hand to guide and assist you as you go and to monitor over the soldering! An ideal next step from my previous workshop sessions.

This is a 4 hour workshop, depending on your design you may be done much quicker than this so you are welcome to leave when you are satisfied with your piece of work but please don’t feel the need to rush!

There is tea, coffee and snacks available, if you have any dietary requirements, please let me know and I’ll do my best to provide for you or your welcome to bring your own.

A few house rules:

· Strictly no alcohol is to be consumed before or during the session for safety reasons.

· Do wear comfortable clothes that you are happy to get a little bit polish-y or dusty. you will get polish on your hands nad nails, if you've recenly have a manicure you may want to consider this! I'm happy to polish for you so don't let it put you off! 

· Tie any long hair up, in particular for soldering and polishing.

· Wear closed footwear, no sandals please.

· I will run over the health and safety aspects at the beginning of the session.
